Meet Locher Financial

Edward “Scott” Locher

Scott Locher learned a valuable lesson that led him into the financial services industry as a small business owner right after graduating college in 1985. After discovering he had no 401(k) or other income plan, he had to begin planning his own retirement. After saving a considerable amount, he decided to reinvest that money into another business. Through some tough financial lessons, Scott learned the importance of a solid financial plan.

After operating his own business, Scott worked in corporate America at Sprint, MCI, and then a startup called United Asset Coverage, where he worked with clients such a Caterpillar, RR Donnelly, and several regional hospitals throughout the country. Scott previously worked on the broker dealer side of finances for firms such as LPL, Invest, and even Edward Jones. It was during this time that he discovered his passion to be completely independent, where he could offer the products and services he personally believes in.

Scott graduated from Ohio University with a BS in Marketing in 1985. He holds his insurance license in 18 states: Arkansas, Arizona, Oregon, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Oklahoma, California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Washington. Scott enjoys helping his clients develop retirement income plans designed to help reach their retirement goals, where their income is coming from, and how to best protect their assets from market volatility.
